About the Designer

Kael Gillam is a lighting designer in London, currently working on architectural projects both locally and abroad.

She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University. She holds a BFA in Drama with a concentration in Lighting Design, and a BA in Chinese Studies. She has taken internships, jobs, and study opportunities in cities across the world.

Kael moved to Los Angeles immediately after finishing her degree. While there, she worked primarily as an event and entertainment lighting designer. She left the west coast for New York to pursue architectural lighting design, and has since moved to London to continue her spat in architecture.

During her career, Kael has been exposed to theatrical, dance, opera, musical, architectural, entertainment, and temporary-installation lighting. She enjoys all of these disciplines, and brings her background in story telling to every project that she has the pleasure of working on.
